Greg Deckerd

Greg came on staff as a project manager in the summer of 2015 to assist with the 20/20 Vision. Before Open Door,  Greg worked for ten years in the turfgrass industry maintaining some of the world’s best golf clubs. Greg also hosted or assisted in preparations for the 2006 U.S. Open, The Memorial, PGA Championship, Women’s World Matchplay, and The Barclays.

In January of 2013, Greg and his wife Annie began Financial Peace University and in April of 2013, they welcomed their first child into the world, Kest Gregory. During that time, he discovered a new career passion/calling, completed his Associate’s of Business Administration at LCCC, and retired from his job at Canterbury. He is currently pursuing a degree in Financial Planning from Franklin University.

Currently, Greg works closely with our Executive Pastor on various projects (including 20/20), our Dir. of Finance on developing a Stewardship Ministry, and our Director of Facilities to coordinate and maintain our ever growing facilities. He regularly leads FPU classes here at COD and attributes his newfound calling directly to the life change he experienced while going through the class. His goal is to continue loving God, loving people and living surrendered while helping others to discover God’s ways of managing their time, talent and treasures.
