Reading God’s Word: Hebrews 11:4-31, Psalm 136:6-9
Meditating on God’s Word: Hebrews 11:26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.
Memorizing God’s Word: Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, delayed gratification and patience don’t always seem to be in my vocabulary. I tend to run from pain and affliction instead of embracing it for the cause of Christ and of the gospel. Train me today to remember the faithful of old. Train me to trust in you amidst rampant sin and disregard for your truth. Everyday I have the choice to either embrace you or embrace the shortcuts around me. Help me live in the newness of life, as my choice is you. Amen.”
