Reading God’s Word: Romans 10:1-21, Psalm 104:17-24
Meditating on God’s Word: Romans 10:21 But concerning Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”
Memorizing God’s Word: Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, it’s so easy to look at Christ now and see the amazing gracious loving savior that he is…but help me also to remember where I came from. I am not much different than the Israelite who was visibly delivered by God and then immediately ran back to idols and created things. I am disobedient and obstinate, yet you bought me with a price. You paid for my sin. You are God. Remind me where I’ve been so I can get a new picture of where I am going. Amen.”
