Reading God’s Word: Ephesians 5:1-20, Psalm 119:81-88
Meditating on God’s Word: Ephesians 5:20 (ESV) giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Memorizing God’s Word: Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Praying God’s Word: “Father, our entire world system it seems is based on discontent. It is the science of Madison Avenue. We want a nicer car, a nicer home, a faster computer, better clothes, longer vacations, larger bank accounts, and the list goes on. We seem to be forever discontent with what you have given us. Help us to reset our thinking here. Help us to realize that everything we have, absolutely everything, is an undeserved gift from you and something for which we are to be thankful. Help us resist the marketing of the world and instead find peace and contentment in the portion that you have graciously given us. Help us to be thankful for everything! Amen.”
